WHAT IS THE BERKS TRAIL CHALLENGE?
The purpose of the Berks Trail Challenge*** is to promote a free form of exercise to residents of our community. The challenge encourages individuals, groups, and/or clubs to explore various trails and parks throughout Berks County and enjoy mindful leisure activity.
2019 Berks Trail Challenge
The 2019 Berks Trail Challenge has officially started! The challenge will take place from May 1 through October 31.
The Challenge is open to residents of all ages. Register below and print your Berks Trail Challenge card to get started. (Note: Reading Hospital employees, please use your work email when registering.)
Submit your trail challenge card by Friday, November 8, to be entered to win a prize! 40 winners will be selected at random and notified by Friday, November 15, to coordinate pick up or delivery of their prize.
Please remember to leave our trails better than you found them! No littering – throw away any trash in the proper receptacle or take it with you when you leave.
We want to hear from you! Post photos or videos of your participation on social media and tag them using #BerksTrailChallenge and @ReadingHospital!
***The Berks Trail Challenge provides an opportunity for residents to explore local trails and enjoy the outdoors. By participating in this activity, you acknowledge, understand, and agree that:
You are in sufficiently good health and physical condition to participate in the Challenge and are not suffering from any condition that would make your participation potentially dangerous or harmful to yourself or others.
You understand that there are certain inherent risks associated with participating in the Challenge that may result in injury or illness to yourself or others, and, knowing this, you assume full responsibility for and loss, damages, and personal injury (including death) to yourself or any other person.
You forever release, waive, and agree not to sue Tower Health and any of its subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, agents, administrators, volunteers, employees, assigns, or successors, nor any individual involved with organizing the Berks Trail Challenge (collectively, “Releasees”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action related to any loss, damage, or injury (including death) that you or another may incur as a result of participating in, or consequence of, the Challenge.
You indemnify and hold harmless Releasees from any loss, liability, damage, or costs that may occur as a result of your participating in, or consequent of, the Challenge.
By submitting your registration, you provide consent allowing Tower Health and its subsidiaries to use any photos, videos, or images made public or submitted to the organization to be used in current or future promotional activities of the organization. At any point, you can withdraw your consent and the media in question will be removed from publication (to withdraw consent, contact the Community Wellness Department at firstname.lastname@example.org). You expressly release Tower Health and all of its subsidiary entities including affiliates, directors, agents, administrators, volunteers, employees, assigns, or successors from any and all liability related to this media release.
